How to "Ingest" and "Edit."
First, find the file you would like to Ingest.
Make sure you find the file from D:Drive.
Click the Transfer button and tick to Verify

Then, Insert

You can partially ingest videos to get the specific bit you want from a clip. Such as a 10 minute video can be partially cut down to 4 minute video, from any bit of the clip, beginning, middle or end.
Transcode, ProRes can be used to change the High Definition of a video.
On Prelude, to partially ingest a video, you should scroll over the video on to the point you want. You can then press I (Inpoint) on the keyboard for the start of the video and O (Outpoint) for the ending of the video. Then select the video. You can ingest other videos while other videos are ingesting.
